Website Design Completed

Well, I have spent the better part of the last 4 days developing my website. As I get more into the functionality the more it seems I need to add. The next part is to add the content - I don't mind writing the content but it always seems that I change my ideas on what to include on a daily - scratch that - hourly basis. Here is what it looks like so far:
I still have a lot to do but I can begin to see the final product. I have added the functionality of YouTube video playback - thanks SVTechie.com. I Have also added the CRM system called SugarCRM. Sugar CRM is a slick contact management system that integrates nicely with Joomla. It will give my team a marketing edge by providing what pretty much amounts to an "Office in a Box". They will be able to track prospects, schedule meetings through a shared calendar, plug their contacts into a automatic email campaign, track online campaigns, and a whole bunch of other stuff (as of this writing, I'm still not sure of all of it's capabilities yet!).

After I create the content I will be spending some time getting the site optimized for search engines (SEO). This will involve a lot of research so I don't expect to complete this for another week or so. SEO is really fascinating work because it really gives you a unique insight into the inner workings of Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc...

Soon after I will begin to promote the site. I am trying to go on the cheap until I can convince my upline to pitch in for some advertising dollars. I plan to use a lot of social networking sites and classified ad sites to promote the website. I have used Craygo, a Craigslist AutoPosting tool, in the past and it works great. In fact, too well. I managed to get myself blacklisted when I was promoting my Foreclosure site so this time I can't go overboard...

The ultimate goal is to have about 10 people approach me per day interested in my business/product. If I can convert 1 person a day, I will be well on my way to my goal, $1M per year income.

What's next...So much to do.

Today I met with Tony Sirkin. He was so kind to pick up my first order and deliver it to me - 4 cases of Active and 2 cases of Pulse which is the new product designed to lower cholesterol. And by the way, it tastes awesome... more of a berry flavor than Active.

During lunch, Tony and I discussed how we can leverage my skills as an IT guy to build a better online experience for our customers and our organization. I told him of my plans to develop a web site using Joomla 1.5. a real cool content management system (CMS). I am not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to designing websites but I a can configure any application. And that's basically what Joomla is. This site will be something that I will use to create an interest, a buzz - so to speak, about Mona Vie. There you can access my Blog, participate in discussion about Mona Vie, Learn about the product, watch videos, find out where some local tastings are taking place, and generally network with other people in the biz (I'm even thinking about throwing in a Dating Site module... just for you Tony!). A whole bunch of good stuff. But what's even more exciting is that I am going to use another CMS to build a members only section that will allow our members to run their business exactly how we do it. At the forefront of this members only site is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application that will allow you to define and organize your marketing efforts, i.e. email campaigns, prospect database, Lead management. This is going to make a huge impact not only in any given persons production, but also in the way people look at this business and how a tool like this makes it even more of a no-brainer to jump on board with us.

Like most people, I tend to be shy about approaching people. Tony is not. So I will bring in the leads through the Internet and Tony will make contact. I think this kind of scenario would work - especially for someone like me. We'll see how it goes.

So much to do... but I'm thinking the effort I am going to put into this is going to pay off big time.
